What to expect when signing up for a catered charcuterie or grazing board with Oakford Gourmet Selections.
Sharing delicious foods in beautiful presentations has become my life’s passion. I love nothing more than hearing that our charcuterie boards and grazing platters have made someone’s event a spectacular one. One thing I didn’t expect when I started Oakford Gourmet Selections, was getting to know and connecting with so many people throughout Utah. It’s been such a fun experience!
Booking an event with Oakford Gourmet Selections is fairly simple, but most people have questions regarding the process so today I thought I’d share what to expect when requesting catering with us.
1 - BOOK
The first thing to do when requesting an event with us is to go to the Contact page on our website and fill out the form with your event details. This doesn’t secure your event, but instead gives us a good idea of what you’re looking for.
2 - CONSULT
Within 24 hours I will send you an email to get any additional information we may need about your event. Additionally, I’ll be able to confirm your event based on location and availability.
3 - PAYMENT
To reserve your catering date, we require a 50% deposit with the balance due 10 days prior to your event. Once the payment is received, we get to work!
If you’ve booked catering for charcuterie cones, boxes, or platters, you have the option to pick up your order for free in Orem, UT, or we can deliver around Utah Valley and Salt Lake City for an additional fee. All boxes and platters are sealed in air-tight plastic so that transportation and storing is a breeze.
Charcuterie tables require us to set them up on site. Charcuterie tables are usually booked for large parties, weddings or receptions. Depending on the size of your table, we may need to access the event space up to 2 hours prior to your event and kindly require parking at the site to unload the food and supplies. We supply all the food, platters, table decor, tongs, knives, and spoons for the tables, but do not supply the table, plates, napkins, or drinks.
5 - CLEANUP
If you’ve ordered a catering table, then we help clean it up. We line all tables with brown kraft paper so that at the end of the night, all leftover food can be wrapped up neatly in it for you to take home. We then will show up at a designated time to pack up our platters and collect our supplies.
